The center will provide the most advanced and cutting edge oncology technologies and diagnostics in Equatorial Guinea and West Africa, creating a high level of proficiency. It was initially built as an extension of La Paz Bata and practically doubles its area. By successfully solving architectural and constructional challenges, the two centers – La Paz hospital and the oncology center will share a mutual entrance, which creates a large complex, connecting its two parts in a seamless way.
In order to ensure autonomous and ongoing operation of the hospital, IMS had created an energy power supply center within the complex, which guarantees a continuous and uninterrupted functioning of all medical units during electricity failures.
